Agricultural News from Bulgaria – The Bulgarian Institute on plant genetic resources in Sadovo created an aphrodisiac peanut with an aroma of roasted almond, said Stanislav Stamatov from the institute, quoted by the Agricultural academy.

The new peanut variety is named after Orpheus and is included in the Bulgaria’s list of plant varieties. According to Stamatov, this is the only white peanut to be selected in Bulgaria. All other varieties, developed by the institute in Sadovo are with red-pink skins.

The new peanut variety has very high yield and is low in fat content. It, however, has a higher aminoacid, protein and vitamin B and E content.

This, according to the Agricultural academy, makes it an aphrodisiac. Check out this post for more agricultural news from Bulgaria.
