Citizens, united in the civil initiative “Bulgaria without smoke” and public organizations of the Coalition for a life without tobacco smoke, will hold on June 8 at 11:00 rally outside Parliament.
The demonstration is in support of a ban on smoking in public places, which once again is under attack by lobbyists and front groups of the tobacco industry. Over 5000 have confirmed participation in the event on the social network Facebook up to now, and organizers expect that number to increase.
Around 70,000 have signed in the last days the most popular e-petition to the Bulgarian history – this against the removal of a ban on smoking in enclosed public places.
