The president of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev gave a briefing today after his meeting with the political powers which enter the new parliament. He stated that the first official meeting of the 42nd parliament will occur on Tuesday, May 21st, 2013.
“Despite the fact that the Constitution allows a period of time of up to one month for forming a National Assembly, I already stated that the parliament has to work fast. Bulgaria needs a working National Assembly. […] I would like to thank all political parties and coalitions in the 42th parliament for their responsibility and cooperation.”
That is what president Plevneliev said, adding that the consultations for government mandates will occur after forming the National Assembly.
